Linda B. Johnson

Director of Global Development

Since 2008

Linda Johnson was selected as Director of Global Development for Heart of Sailing in September of 2008 after volunteering as the Port Jefferson, New York Chapter Director.  She has had 25-years of successful experiences mostly creating her own positions attributable to her, “Find a need and fill it.” philosophy.  As Director, Mrs. Johnson is tasked with organizing the organization and overseeing all aspects of the organizations fundraising process, gathering input from the board and ensuring smooth operation of fundraising activities for global and national initiatives.

In addition, Ms. Johnson works as an Educational Consultant with her Usborne childrens book company, Kids Read to Succeed (www.kidsreadtosucceed.com.)   She is a quality minded, well-rounded individual with an effective combination of community and global business experiences.   We are confident her skills will be of great value to Heart of Sailing.

Linda has served on boards in Boothbay Maine as Secretary for the Boothbay Civic Center and also served on the Boothbay Harbor Maine Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as Vice President.  She has also chaired fundraisers, community health fairs and Fun Runs in New Jersey and California and co-chaired the Wind Jammer Festival in Boothbay Maine.  In London, England she developed a strategic plan which led to the development of a United Kingdom Seminar Series:   One World… No Borders.

Linda and her husband, David, have been married for 10 years and have a 7 year old daughter named Madeline.
