Ron Hines, volunteer controller, has worked for more than 25 years in various financial management positions in the manufacturing and software industries. During this time he has been responsible for all financial reporting, preparing and filing of the S-1 for an IPO and two subsequent offerings, filing all SEC reports for a public company, managing more than $7 million in foreign currency hedging contracts and handling other financial matters. He also worked 3 years in England as a Financial Director for a subsidiary of a US parent company. Ron holds an MS degree in economics and a BS in finance from Indiana State University.
Ron has been actively involved in helping prepare the budget and financial information for Heart of Sailing, to insure that we are operating economically efficiently and maximizing use of donor funds to provide our services to special needs children.
In his spare time, Ron enjoys travelling, reading and Bycicling. Ron is married to Cheryl and do not have any children.
