Captain Pierre-Alain Girardin

Volunteer Captain - Seattle and Kirkland, WA

Since 2008

Pierre-Alain Girardin starting sailing at the age of 32 in Switzerland. Originally, from this country he and his wife moved to the U.S. in 2000, and to the Seattle area in 2005.

Pierre loves teaching and sailing. One of his favorite sailing activities is cruising and go where the wind pushes him, but he does not hesitate to do racing in order to compare his sailing skills with other skippers.

He has been sailing in Switzerland on Geneva lake, Mediterranean sea, Chesapeake bay, and in 2007, he also have an opportunity to do an offshore passage on the Atlantic. He and his wife have been cruising on the beautiful Puget Sound and the Caribbean.

In 2002, Pierre became an ASA certified instructor and more recently an ASA Radar certified instructor, as well as a USCG captain, he continuously improves his experience and level of certification.

Pierre is a fantastic teacher who will not hesitate to go beyond your sailing expectations.
