Captains Alan and Elaine Sherman, discovered the love of sailing, from the first time they sailed a Hobie Cat in the Caribbean many years ago.
However, sailing 2 or 3 times a year on vacation was not enough.
They now sail just about every day from March through November, on their 31’ Hunter the Elaine and Me in the Great South Bay, logging approximately 1500 nautical miles per year. After sailing the British Virgin Islands twice, they are now, more than ever, anxious to retire.
For the past 22 years Alan and Elaine have owned Sherman Piano and Music Store in Patchogue.
